Boarding Amenities

Release of Liability

All boarders and their guests are required to sign a “Release of Liability”. Even if your guest does not plan to ride, there are inherent risks associated with equine activities. This agreement is mandatory.

Health Requirements

Negative Coggins & Clean bill of health from vet within the past 6 months before horse is allowed on premises.
Up to date inoculations (EEE. Rhinopneumontis, Flu, tetanus and west nile must be administered twice a year in our area for safety.) Horse should be inoculated annually with a rabies shot. It is your responsibility to provide current paperwork regarding such.
We recommend worming every other month. This is the schedule our herd is on and is best for this area. Horses hooves must be

Hoof Trimming is coordinated by you with your farrier. 
We will be happy to recommend one.
Walking Horse Shoes Are available at $25 a pair.  
Worming $20.00 includes medicine or you may do it yourself.
We recommend every other month and this is the observed
schedule for Camelot horses.

Administering Medical Treatments

Varies according to procedure. Additionally, if a boarder cannot be reached and the horse’s life is potentially endangered, the vet will be called in and the boarder will be responsible for the charges. Should your horse need ongoing daily medical treatment, you may choose to do it yourself or Camelot may be contracted out for a fee.

Board your horse at Camelot Wilderness Ranch for only $125 per month per horse(you provide the feed)  or $175 (feed included). Only minutes away from Lafayette and Opelousas, our fee  includes two daily feedings, a stall and pasture. Enjoy riding your horse on 120 acres including 40 acres of serene wilderness and trails where you might see bobcats, coyotes, raccoons, rabbits, deer, and many different types of birds. This fee also includes use of the arena, round pen, washing facilities and tack storage area. Hang out in the rustic Camelot Club House to take a breather while your horse is tied at the hitching post. Pack a picnic lunch for the day and find a nice cozy spot in the woodlands if you love the sounds of nature. Sunday mornings bring a special enchantment as chapel bells peale through the air.  Enjoy fishing our bream pond with your family at no extra charge and cook them right up in our club house.  Pitch a tent on our grounds and  experience a camping trip with your horse for only $10.00 per nite while you sit around your campfire and under the stars.   Call today and really begin to enjoy your horse.

B&B Country Cottage Discount

Our boarders receive a 60% discount on our cottage rental when the cottage is available.  (Does not include breakfast.)  This makes it easy to spend a weekend relaxing, rejuvenating, and enjoying your horse more completely.  Boarders also receive all other service discounts which apply that Camelot Members receive.
