A Winter Wonderland
On December 11, 2008, we awoke to a winter wonderland. My horses were quite puzzled and Quest absolutely refused to go out in the white stuff but the younger horses frolicked and played making a whole lot of slush. Our German Shepherds were delighted. It was a hauntingly beautiful sight, but more than that, the quiet stillness that enveloped Camelot was blissful. In the blanket of white, both the beauty and blemishes were evident, bringing clarity to this imperfect, yet perfect masterpiece. I felt this day deserved special recognition and a page all its own since it only snows here every 10 or 12 years.
